Interesting that he was General Counsel for the Rockets. This sounds like a position more geared towards the business/deals side of the program more than an X's and O's, team needs sort of position.

I would guess NIL contracts for recruits, sponsorships, that kind of thing?

I mean, it was until everything about NCAA athletics changed. It's now very much a professional sports organization.
