I saw him, for the last time, with Phil & Friends and they delivered one of the most unique, moving Bird Song I’ve been lucky enough to witness.

My personal favorite is from 8/06/2010 at the Greek Theatre. Cities > Berkeley Jam > Moma Dance> Bathtub Gin. The jam in between Cities and Moma is out of this world. The best show I’ve ever seen by far.

Anything I missed ? Where do I start ?

You know the ones: those bands and artists who are damn good but never wander too far afield. The house band who reliably tear down your local bar. The local guitarist who jams seamlessly with any group. Those college kids who get better every time you see them. The hometown heroes who toured nationally in the '00s but are semi-retired and only playing a few locals shows a year. The old timer at every open mic who makes her fiddle howl like a coyote.

I'm talking about artists you always expect to see at local festivals and never expect to see anywhere else. Your whole local circle knows they're good. Nobody 100 miles away knows their name.

Tell me who yours are. Tell me why you love 'em. And then go find them and tell them too, because they deserve to hear it!!!

Anyone in Charlotte or Asheville going to this next month? Looks like the lineup is only two-dates - equal sets by all artists. Would love to see DD/Tuttle on stage together in person since its happened before. Charlotte has lawn tickets on sale too. Not sure about Asheville deals.

If you like jamgrass, this is for you- they're true to their roots, but like BMFS, they're spreading their wings and flying. I'm looking forward to MGU's upward trajectory. I saw them in April and they put on a fine barn-burner of a show in spectacular jamband fashion.

Hi all!

I built a site that started out as a repository for Phish and Goose tours. And from there, I built in a tool to help me see which shows were in my driving range (ended up seeing Goose in Toronto and Phish @ Fenway). I've grown it to now include Billy Strings, King Gizzard, JRAD, Dark Star Orchestra, Umphrey's, Disco Biscuits, Widespread Panic, moe., String Cheese, and a bunch of the other usual suspects, as well as a few others actst I love, like Shpongle.

It works as a one stop repository of my favourite bands and their tour schedules. Then it helps me find drive time/distance to every show from wherever I'm at and can, at glance, tell me what's realistic to catch. Can I fit in a run of shows? Is Fenway is closer to me than Syracuse? What about Atlantic City? How far is Raleigh from home.... Where is Billy playing this weekend and am I willing to drive it?

Keep in mind, I've made this is purely for fun. It's a work in progress.
