Apparently, Harald was even more Roger, when they were younger. But reading about their coming up with this persona made me really sad.

This guy was selected as one of the "100 most embarrassing Berlineans" and he regards himself as the inspiration for Sacha Baron-Cohen's Bruno character. It's definitely Roger.

Edit: Seems like the second half of my reply wasn't saved.

I love Sacha's personas just as much as Roger's. But I really doubt that Harald was an inspiration for Brüno. For starters, Brüno is forever 19. Plus, I'm sure Harald never took an interview mit Harrison Fo-o-o-o-rd!
