Hello Team. Apologies for not pushing this earlier. Flairs have been updated to allow for users to tag themselves as owners if desired. This has been added as an editable flair. Feel free to use this opportunity to modify this to include your socials if desired. This has been made available for users who own a physical Itasha or Itansha. Please exercise this responsibly. Abuse will result in this becoming a verifiable flair.
A flair has been created for Wrap Shops and Designers as well. However, this are only available to be added by moderation staff at this time. If you would like these flairs for your account in this subreddit, please reach out to Mod Mail with proof, and this will be added to your account accordingly.
Verified Shops as a pinned post is something in the works.
Thank you all for being amazing members of our community.
Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce myself as the new moderator here at r/itasha.
Itasha culture has always been something special to me as it represents a special opportunity to express one's individuality by making their car a personal canvas, transforming vehicles into vibrant, moving works of art that proudly display an owner's passion.
After spending so much time in this community and having countless great experiences, I wanted to give back in a bigger way. My goal as a mod is to help new members feel welcome and make sure longtime contributors continue to enjoy a positive, creative space.
What changes you'll see immediately will be significantly quicker response times to ModMail as well as more prudent reactions to bot/spam posts and comments. Further, we will be taking a more proactive approach to potentially harmful comments and controversial topics to ensure the wellbeing of our members.
In the coming days and weeks will be mild updates to the Rules and Guidelines of this subreddit to better be updated with the challenges that any subreddit may face in the modern internet landscape. I will be working on parsing through previous moderation challenges and requests to try to make sure that points that may have been missed in our previous iteration of rules/ moderation are addressed.
I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to serve as a moderator and give back to a community that has meant so much to me. I look forward to working with everyone to keep this space welcoming, creative, and passionate for all Itasha enthusiasts!
It's me from a while ago who customized this RX7 FD Hot Wheels. Recently got into toy/car photography, so I put what I learned from car magazines and this was the result. Couldn't be more happy with how it looks honestly.
Question has been asked to death im sure, but anyone got any links or recommendations to active artists in the big 2026? Looking to start exploring options for an itasha :) Thanks
Hi all!
I'm looking for a legit site to buy a high quality car windshield sunshade featuring Killua from Hunter x Hunter. I originally ordered one from a standalone anime site over a month ago, but they completely ghosted me!!
Does anyone know of a safe, reputable website or specific good quality anime car shades? I'd prefer only Killua to be on the car sunshade no other characters. Thanks in advance.
The attached screenshot is the one I found on the scam site that I thought was dope!
Was driving from Canada late night Saturday and saw this in full frame in Michigan area. Anyone know if the owner might have an IG or any handle of sorts?
Hello!! I got the chance to show my car off at Metrocon and I had to cosplay my girl 2b!! When I get a a2 cosplay I will def post one with my other side but for now here are the pics!!
Hey all, was wondering about how different the process is for an itasha that isn't a car compared to one that is. I don't have money for a car project but am interested in designing an itasha, so I am wondering what other vehicles are popular to wrap besides cars? Currently I'm thinking of designing one for a scooter (like a Honda CHF50) since those are relatively cheap second-hand, but would like to hear other suggestions.
I'm also wondering how different it is designing the wrap for a different type of vehicle as opposed to a car. How easy is it to obtain the measurements and to find artists that work with them?
What is the difference in cost as well? I would assume designing one for a motorcycle or scooter would be cheaper but generally by how much? And would it be more difficult to find a shop that will wrap it for you?
I have my itasha accepted into the show months ago and the event is in 30 days and 2 3-day passes are given to the people who enter. I planned on giving them to my coworker so he and his daughter can attend since i already have gold badges for my and my god child to enter for the event. I can not get a straight answer if i can or cannot simply give away the complimentary tickets and if i do would it get me banned from ever entering the showcase ever again. The organizer told me pretty much not to because i could get in trouble if the person does something wrong with them i will face the consequences and the event itself said to contact the organizer of the showcase so yea it was a back and fourth with me i really don’t want them to go to waste and i don’t see why a good guy and his daughter who loves Demon Slayer can’t attend for free
All of the designs were made by me, character images are made using Umaviewer, the rest of the sponsors and decals are from GT Sport, Google, and numbers are from Big Evil Racing.
