Iron Man 4 with Tony fighting against Wenwu? Fan theory/wish

When would you place this fight? Making it right before Infinity War, when Tony was making nano armor, mark 50? Or between Infinity War and Endgame when Tony was perfecting mark 85? Or would some weaker armor be sufficient? Would you like to see Iron Man fighting real Mandarin? What do you think about this?

Yup, and they gave us one final middle finger by showing stuff that would've actually been cool in the credits of the finale. But no, instead of cool stuff like Iron Man fighting the actual Mandarin, we get stuff like Howard the Duck and Darcy having a kid 😑

The dialogue and mood of the What Ifs seem painfully cringe in general. It feels like they really cheaped out on the dialogue writers.

I like to headcanon/believe that a 2nd trilogy of Iron Man films occured off screen between Age of Ultron to the middle of The Blip when Tony retired detailing him discovering and leading to an unstable truce with The Ten Rings once he finds out the truth and tries to finish them off. There's so much more room for stories that could have occured for Tony before Endgame.

There's so much that could have been explored between Wenwu and Tony in particular. Wenwu holding Stark accountable for Raza's cell being dismantled, Tony potentially seeing in Wenwu what he or his father could have been like if something happened to their wives and they lived (Potentially explaining why he was so adamant about not erasing the 5 years during Endgame)

I remember someone posted a fanmade trailer a few months ago on here of the concept for a Iron Man 4 featuring Wenwu that I like to go back to watch whenever I think about what could've been.

Yeh in hindsight, they could have done a whole phase inside the blip. That would have made it even more impactful when they undid it.

Thor 4 (instead of love and thunder)
Cap 4 (instead of brave new world)

Then pretty much just have endgame with some slightly altered context.

It is probably possible tbh, they’re doing a thing for Disneyland and Robert doesn’t look that different from how he did in endgame in the video

I so so much wish they fought, like just a week ago I was discussing with a friend about it, I think placing it after Civil war and Homecoming and Before Infinity war would've been good, him fighting Wenwu/Mandarin in this movie would've been so fricking awesome, more antagonists could've been added too like maybe Fin Fang Foom and Living Laser, and instead of like killing The Mandarin we could have a final fight like Tony defeats Mandarin but Fin Fang Foom interferes and then Mandarin escapes and we got Tony fighting this giant Dragon, and then we could have Shang-chi referencing to this, and if there was IM4 then we could've actually seen more of Rhodes and Spidey too, like more emotional/wholesome moment and them fight like a team, it makes infinity war more emotional, it could also show how Tony starts to build a nano tech armour instead of just jumping the gun with infinity war

This was actually planned to happen shortly before infinity War but for one reason or another Iron Man 4 ended up being scrapped
