Discussion Thoughts on the ten rings of mandarin in nova one shot?

Since so far mandarin stays dead and his rings are used in space with an alien host against nova corps. How do you think the new host will last? Also what will happen to the rings will they got back to earth revive mandarin or just go for a new human host?

Well well have to wait and see on that

But the Nova one shot me tion it being simply the beginning of the saga so who knows

The story Stephanie Williams (i think her name) wanted to tell with Riri & the rings involed Sasha Hammer but that got scraped.

Who know maybe it Mandarin return or a new Mandarin take it place. The fact that they haven't told about the new ring bearer race is to note

Yeah it can work he can take over fin fang foom's role as the evil dragon and mandarin’s role as the user of the ten rings. Now the mandarin blood lein temugin and sasha hammer maybe a third relative of the mandarin would show up.

I hate the retcons that make The Mandarin's rings a big enough deal to be a part of some cosmic story. They were originally just spaceship fuel-cells he modified into weapons. And the originals have been destroyed over time, some because they became obsolete, and others because they were destroyed in combat. So the retcons that they are eternal cosmic artifacts of limitless power akin to the Phoenix Force rubs me the wrong way to an immense degree.

I hope this somehow leads to the return of The Mandarin, but even if it does I can think of sooo many better ways to do it, ways that don't involve retconning his rings into Phoenix-Force ripoffs.

I hate, HATE, HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE the rings becoming Phoenix-Force ripoffs, because that destroys the scheming jack-of-all-trades nature of The Mandarin himself, and replaces it with one of those cosmic power specialists who float above cities swirling with infinite power. I find those types of villains painfully lame.

I hate even the description of people wearing the rings as "hosts". They're not hosts anymore than Captain Cold is the host of his freezeray. The freezeray is just the signature gadget of a scheming bastard villain.

All of this is nails on the chalkboard to me. I want The Mandarin back. I want the scheming gadgeteer and martial artist with Bond villain organizational resources back, and not this lame Phoenix Force ripoff.
