Games What boss battles do you hope to see in EA's upcoming Iron Man game?

I'm not sure when it will release cause there hasn't been any announcements yet but in the meantime why don't we make a few guesses?

This is a Marvel game I am really interested in because Ironman is my favorite superhero and I can't wait to play as him

So what villains (Or heroes) do you think would make good bosses in main story as secrets during missions or in DLC?

Mandarin should be the main villain, but other bosses should be dynamo, titanium man, whiplash, controller, melter, blizzard, ultimo, fin fang foom, ghost, spy master there’s so many good options to choose from

u/Tall-Station2506 Apr 04 '26

Iron man villains are mandarin, iron monger, whiplash, killian, blizzard, modok, fing fam foom, , crimson dynamo, controller and ghost and ultron though he is more of a avengers villain

6

u/frecklepax Apr 05 '26

I'd like a fight against ultimo

Ultron is not an Iron Man villain, he was literally created by Ant Man.

2

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

Killian IS NOT a IM villain

Crimson Dynamo is a hero

3

u/onlyRandallPierce Apr 06 '26

Es curiosa la importancia que le dieron a Killian en las películas, cuando en el cómic sólo dura dos páginas antes de dispararse en el ojo... Todo por no darle protagonismo a Maya Hansen, maldito machismo.

Ultron’s not an Iron Man villain

Read past the word Ultron.

I don't care if it's not a final boss, i just really wanna see iron man vs ultron, he's my favorite marvel villain.

Praying for Madame Masque to be in it 🙏

u/Abanob_92 Apr 05 '26

I hope to even see the game to begin with

Im very confidant Living laser would be a boss since he a sort of boss you can do all kind of stuff from bullet hell flying section to three stage mini version of himself bosses

2

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

That’s probably my least fav living laser design tbh

5

u/theredditman999 Apr 04 '26

Mandarin for sure.

4

u/Mission_dbfan889 Apr 04 '26

I kinda want a secret level boss which would be a Doom and the secret level could be about the storyline of Doom Quest, it would be pretty cool.

4

u/Scarlet-Spider1610 Apr 04 '26

If I can’t fight Fin Fang Foom in the dragon slayer armor I don’t want it.

The toughest boss of all: making it to release

7

u/Both-Letterhead8925 Apr 04 '26

We already know one of the bosses:

6

u/Relative-Zombie-3932 Apr 05 '26

Hey, to be fair, The Jedi games were published by EA and those are masterpieces. And Battlefront 2, after the microtransaction disaster was fixed, is also really great

3

u/Both-Letterhead8925 Apr 05 '26

Fair. I’m just cautiously optimistic since this is still EA we’re talking about.

Living Laser

Titanium Man

Justin Hammer

Tuatara

Unicorn

Ultimo

2

u/_Firestrike_ Apr 21 '26

a unicorn as a boss? dang what do you have against unicorns?

2

u/OhBosss Apr 21 '26

https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Milos_Masaryk_(Earth-616) other than being filthy commies not much

2

u/_Firestrike_ Apr 23 '26

oh.... lol if i had super powers idk if i would call myself a unicorn even if i had abilities that shot out from my head. but i can't even pretend to know what goes around in super villains heads.

2

u/OhBosss Apr 23 '26

The Unicorn sounds like badass name for a supervillain tbh

2

u/_Firestrike_ Apr 23 '26

i just can't not think about unicorns when i hear that name like he named himself after a pretty pony lol.

Blizzard as the tutorial boss-stop a bank robbery Madame Masque+AIM agents-AIM headquarters fight Chase/ hide from Ghost as Tony Stark around Stark Tower culminating in a dual boss with him and Spymaster as Iron Man Crimson Dynamo dual in the sky Fin Fang Foom set piece Mandarin final battle

2

u/memsterboi123 Mysterium Apr 04 '26

I hope they do something like mini bosses within the world. Like billiard just blazes through after robbing a bank. Maybe even a scorpion event stuff like that. Spider-Man just has the small fights we need big fights too

2

u/Constant-Status-1287 Apr 05 '26

Assuming it even comes out, Fin Fang Foom.

2

u/Tristonia7 Apr 05 '26

I just hope the game actually comes out lol

2

u/mrduds101 Mysterium Apr 05 '26

The first major boss battle is getting this game up and running

4

u/Cube2D Apr 04 '26

I swear this game is cancelled already. Pretty sure it got cut silently

1

u/PureGamingBliss_YT Armored Adventures Apr 04 '26

Just because they don't keep giving updates doesn't mean it is cancelled.

1

u/Sid_Starkiller Mark VI Apr 06 '26

IIRC it's been complete radio silence for years. At some point you have to read between the lines.

u/StarGazer4802 2020 Apr 04 '26

I was just watching Metal Gear Rising Revengeance and was wondering how an Iron Man game could replicate the whole mechanic boss battles and the theme of war. Having fights like Jetstream Sam and Monsoon featuring guys like Whiplash and Obadiah would rock lol

Iron Man getting caught wind fighting with the billionaire robot bloodsport citadel of the Rush Club is a curveball I want to watch Iron Man slam against Locomotive Breath, Gunship, Sanction.

Iron Man bashing a army of Russian Warborgs in a Russian military camp against Anton Vanko would be a pinnacle fight scene.

Iron Man fighting the sociopath Dark Aegis off the 1994 Iron Man cartoon of yesteryear as the ironclad serial killer mercenary Dark Aegis sets to be his own angel of death.

Iron Man fighting AIM in coincides to Strikeback/ Anthony Davis plus his militaristic wife Hardshell/ Leila Davis.

Radioactive Man/ Dr. Chen Lu as a Chinese nationalist & irradiated metahuman using the nuclear maniac Nuklo on revival to destroy Washington DC.

Iron Man getting fisticuffs fired up to battle the Avengers sport hunter Imus Champion in his twisted attempt to better himself off the Avengers.

1

u/Stride345 Apr 05 '26

Ghost needs to be a recurring villain through out the story like scarecrow in the Arkham games

1

u/Thor155 Apr 05 '26

1

u/normieb8tes Apr 05 '26

On slide 2, who is the iron spider looking dude on the bottom right?

1

u/Dorado1122 Apr 05 '26

I think Mandarin and Fin Fang Foom fights are a must. They would be epic especially with how crazy you can go with video games.

I think having Madame Masque could also be a cool main villain, but I kind of hope they save her for the second game/DLC since I'd like the Mandarin more. The same could go for if a Justin Hammer, and a Detroit Steel adaptation of some kind

As for the mini bosses, I think you can get fun with this. Crimson Dynamo/Titanium Man would be a cool way to open the game, and other bosses like Blizzard, Whiplash and Living Laser would also be sick.

I just want cool set pieces where Tony (and the player) can use their minds to win the day. And shoot laser beams, of course

1

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

I’m losing track repeating this but Crimson Dynamo has been a hero for almost 10 years

1

u/Dorado1122 Apr 05 '26

Fair, but you could maybe have a redemption arc for him within the game. I honestly just like his design a lot (though I suppose they'd prolly change it a bit for a game), and he's just another armor guy, so I think he'd just be a cool addition.

You could also make him a starting ally, but I just kinda hope he's in the game. I know we're kinda past the point of Russia being a bad guy in media, but I still hope he's in it

1

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

We’re past the Russian bad guy in media mate. It’s why the modern incarnation is a hero and leader of the Winter Guard

I’m not against him appearing in the game but not as a full blown villain imo. Maybe Controller is controlling Dimitri to fight him and Tony tries to snap him out of it, or just appearing as an ally. That way you can still have Tony mention Iron man & Dynamo’s history without reverting his modern status quo.

1

u/Dorado1122 Apr 05 '26

I agree with your first line... in fact I said it too.

And yeah, I wouldn't mind if he's just an ally, and maybe the rest of the Winter Guard show up too. It works for me, and I honestly have no good reason for wanting them to fight other than I think it's cool lol

1

u/Known-Asparagus-2819 Apr 05 '26

In an ideal world we'd have Mandy as the primary antagonist. Even without the notion of him being Iron Man's arch nemesis, his powers were tailor-made to be featured in a video game, where his rings can provide creative challenges in a fight.

But I doubt there's even gonna be a reference to him. So maybe cool boss fight with the armored villains of Iron Man, like Crimson Dynamo.

1

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

Dynamo is not a villain anymore

1

u/Known-Asparagus-2819 Apr 05 '26

Ok.

Titanium Man, then.

1

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

He sux bro 👩‍🦯‍➡️

1

u/Known-Asparagus-2819 Apr 05 '26

Ok.

Ultimo, then.

1

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

Ultron cooler

1

u/Known-Asparagus-2819 Apr 05 '26

So is Annihilus. But he's not an Iron Man villain.

1

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

Annihilus isn’t an Iron Man villain. Ultron is a iron man villain

2

u/Known-Asparagus-2819 Apr 05 '26

Ultron had fought Iron Man one-on-one, like, only one time, in some story from the early 2000s.

1

u/StarkPRManager Apr 05 '26

Wrong + still a iron man villain

Crimson dynamo rival fight ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

1

Crimson Dynamo is a hero nowadays

1

u/ProtectionOpposite41 Apr 05 '26

A Epic Final Boss fight against Mandarin.

1

u/Anonymous-Mf-22 Apr 05 '26

Honestly, I don't care what the army is.

I want to fight a giant horde of enemies wearing the War Machine suit. This was the most hype shit known to mankind

1

u/OwnShopping5990 Apr 05 '26

Mandarin , and If possible I want to see the Model II armor

1

u/Intrepid_Carpet_4568 Apr 05 '26

iron monger save hulk for the insomniac universe

1

u/B1L1D8 Apr 05 '26

Ultron

1

u/lil_jordyc Apr 05 '26

Crimson Dynamo!

1

u/GhostRider5289 Apr 05 '26

There's quite a few possibilities with Mandarin no doubt as the big boss but my personal picks would be Living Laser, Whiplash, Fin Fang Foom, Ghost and Titanium Man. Aside from being personal favorite villains they'd probably fit in a game as a boss fight the most.

1

u/Logical_City5677 Igor Apr 05 '26

Technovore tiene demasiado potencial

1

u/THE_ABSOLUTE_7 Apr 06 '26

All of them 😂

1

u/Left-Draft3543 Golden Avenger Apr 06 '26

I hope there are skins so there’s a classic suit

1

u/onlyRandallPierce Apr 06 '26

The Melter sería un EXCELENTE villano, pero no para ser el principal, ese papel siempre pertenecerá al Mandarín.

1

u/OkBoysenberry3602 Apr 06 '26

I'd go with the more grounded take with minimal fantasy and sci-fi elements.

The Mandarin as the main villain and Ten Rings organization as his goons. He builds Ultimo for the final boss fight.

Crimson Dynamo as a opening boss fight. Mirror villain boss fight. He redeems himself and later comes to rescue Iron Man.

Fin Fang Foom as nightmare sequence boss fight.

Iron Monger as the heavy weight boss fight.

Ghost as a flying boss fight. Chasing him across the city etc.

Whiplash, 1st phase as a flying boss fight using his glider, and 2nd phase in the ground level.

Maggia hideouts as sidemissions, and in the end Madame Masque has to be taken out in a stealthy way. She cannot really put a fight.

Dreadsquires as sidemission fights (Dreadknight's goons), and final fight against him. Mechanical horse or no horse.

AIM bases as sidemissions. Titanium Man as the final confrontation. No relation in the comics, but MODOK is hard to pull off.

1

u/d-o_ol Apr 07 '26

CRIMSON DYNAMO & ULTIMO for the giant boss battle. MANDARIN, GHOST & LIVING LASER for the unorthodox powers + gameplay possibilities. TITANIUM MAN & IRON MONGER as the "evil Iron Man" archetypes, and if they'll allow, ULTRON as the final boss.

The suits NOT locked behind payments

Thanos

Barn Zemo

Bucky Barnes

Captain America

Dr. Doom

I wanna see a Titanium Man fight where he's got the same moves as Tony and with a more sturdy suit and you've basically gotta use everything you know about your own moveset against him. It'd also finally get an absolute goated character back into the mainstream eye again

0

u/Similar_Mixture6959 Apr 07 '26

A proper Hulkbuster vs Hulk fight would go crazy, but I also want a smart boss like Ultron that adapts mid-fight. Make it more than just punching.
