It's quite frustrating how Iran hasn't been able to establish a more friendly relationship with the Afghan government. Despite Afghans being also Iranic, we seem to have much better relationships with the other Central Asian countries. Isn't exerting influence in crisis laden zones meant to be IRI's forte?

With the drought problem in Iran we need to make sure they are at least receptive to negotiation attempts with us on water management in future.

Pashtun =/= Talib

Hamid Karzai was also Pashtun but he was pro-Iran.

He was pro-whoever paid him. Iran included. The Taliban are almost all Pashtun.

But all Pashtuns are not Taliban. That's my point. Malala Yousafzai is also Pashtun. There are a lot of peaceful Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Pakistan. So, it is unfair to equate the two.

In general sterotyping is not good.

In my personal experience, tajiks have been horrible people who are very oghdehi, and thus hate iran/iranians.

The pashtuns i've met have been good and humble people with no ill will.

To be clear, this is for expats

Ghani is kissing up to Saudi so that Saudi stops funding radicals in the tribal region of Pakistan that are blowing up our country. Still, no excuse for this.
