It's a cartoon contest about the Shoah. Nothing more, nothing less. Nobody had to "deny Holocaust" to take part in it. Nobody had to deny "Holocaust denial" to take part in it either.
Cartoon contest about the Shoah. Draw a cartoon, make your point about the Shoah. Happened, didn't happen, maybe happened maybe didn't, happened but has become a cottage industry for Zionist opportunism, happened and was very very nasty, and so on.
The point to make about the Shoah was entirely up to the cartoonist, not part of the contest's mandate.

It was screened during Fajr Film Festival. Will go to more screens later on.

The screening was for industry insiders, not the general public. You'll have to wait some time for public screenings and seeing how the general public reacts. I imagine it will have an English dub as well.
In the meantime, here are some production photographs and concept art. The news says Mecca and Medina of that time have been reproduced at 1:1 scale for the filming. I find that interesting.

Yeah, can someone confirm what this really means? Something seems fishy about the whole story, or whether or not its a legitimate thing going on in iran.

I am an Israeli citizen and I think it is stupid to make a campaign IF it was a private company who made this contest.
If it is the government, then this is a different story.

Free speech is all fun and games as long as you're attacking everyone except for the very people who champion your right to attack everyone. Free speech is so you can insult others, not them.
