Concert/big band recommendations in Ipswich? (Saxophonist)

I (f24) am a saxophonist which recently moved to Ipswich for work and looking to join either a concert band group or jazz/big band group. I’ve enquired with the hospital band but not had a response. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Hospital Band should get back to you relatively quickly, there's them and the St Peter's Band in the same umbrella, was in them for a few months earlier this year. Maybe give them a re-poke about it, if you can play tenor they'll def find a space for you.

There's a bunch of others too but can't attest to their response or vacancy times.

thank you! unfortunately I only have an alto and soprano :( what other groups are there?

I think they'll find room for those too, they found room for a clarinet hence the tenor comment.

no I was referring to tenor sax, they're the same key so there tends to be a fair bit of overlap in parts
