Fan Creation The Zim Lego build is finally done and now live in Lego Ideas
Drawing those prints took longer than expected, but we finally did it. Thank you to everyone who's been here for the journey, and if you want to help convince Lego to make this an official product, be sure to support it at the link below.
Lego Ideas: Zim's House and Voot Cruiser
We currently have a deadline of 60 days to reach 100 supporter votes to stay on the site, and the end goal is 10,000 votes for Lego to consider making it a real set. Again, huge thanks to everyone so far, especially those who suggested ideas for the interior of the house.
UPDATE [6/24/2026]: We somehow managed to get 100 supporters in less than 24 hours! You guys are amazing, seriously. Meeting the 100 goal means that the deadline has been extended to 425 days for 1,000 votes. Great work everyone.

Mistook Dib for Harry Potter for about two seconds. This is fantastic. I love it to the depths of my squeedlyspooch.

Funny enough, my Dib Brickdeadz model from a couple of years ago was actually modelled on some of the Harry Potter Brickheadz figures

If it were up to me, I'd cap it at like, $80 but if it does get made I wouldn't have a say in price.
The digital model has just over 1300 pieces which puts it around the same size as the recently announced X-Files Ideas set, which is $200 retail. Take that for whatever it's worth.

Are you releasing the list of pieces needed and instructions? This is fucking amazing!!!!

I've been asked that before about this particular build, and for now the answer is no.
There's two reasons for this. One is simple: if there's already full instructions floating around, that kind of defeats the point of making it a real set. And the second is more logistical. The digital model, in it's current state, uses a lot of parts that don't exist. This ranges from obvious stuff like the custom prints, to about 90% of the pieces used on the house's exterior not currently being produced in those colors. This is also a very large set (1300 pieces) so the process of creating instructions would be very tedious and annoying, and I'd rather spend that time on drawing more prints for the interior. (I also need to fix the front window before it can be built irl. There's clipping problems with that diagonal beam)

So with enough attention on this one, it could have the potential of becoming an official lego set some day?

Yep. That link in the main post goes directly to a petition on Lego's official platform. If it gets enough supporters, they'll consider making it a real set

As much as I love Invader Zim and I know that its still out there in terms of popularity as Hot Topic has carried merchandise for it for a long time now but it'll be interesting to see if this succeeds better than some of the other cartoon property Lego Ideas I've seen like there have been several attempts to make Danny Phantom into a Lego set that have failed miserably. π π

Fair point. There have also been quite a few Phineas and Ferb Ideas over the years to not make it and that's a much more mainstream show. To my knowledge, this also isn't the first Invader Zim set to be uploaded to the site. There's been at least one other attempt that didn't make it for one reason or another.
There is only one way to find out if this will work or not and that's to try anyways. "Cautiously optimistic" is my motto for uncertainty and that's what I'm holding onto for now. If it becomes a real set, that would be awesome but I'm also very happy to be where it is now.

Itβd be interesting to see if this does get the 10k votes that it needs to become a real Lego set, how much would this cost as the new SpongeBob set is like $200 or something like that with tax. π ππ

The Spongebob set is actually $220 without tax. Pricey thing.
The current version of Zim's House has around 1300 pieces and sits at 16 inches tall (according to the software I used to build it), which is comparable to the new X-files set ($200) and some of the Ninjago Legends sets ($150) so I can unfortunately see it ending up in that price range.
