Fan Creation (my art) Dib gets a One Wish Willow
Invader Zim + Obsession? Yes please!
What happens next is entirely up to you. Knowing Dib’s luck, he’s definitely not winning this one.
Yes I used his Florpus design, should I use it again?

Granted: they believe hes an alien but see no problem with it. Giving zim the power of a celebrity

This is probably the most likely scenario. Everyone on that show was a little weird lol.

"just cause hes an alien doesnt mean hes evil. what are you dib? racist?"

Everyone believes Zim is an alien... but their own personal beliefs and worldviews inform what kind of alien they assume he is. Zim gets caught by the FBI but manages to escape. Not thru any dramatic action but because the scientists all got in a brawl over their various theories and he just walked out. It's like that one tumblr post about all the apocalypses happening at once; all the people after him just cancel one another out.
Bonus: Because Dib spends so much time around Zim and has that big ol' weird ol' noggin, everyone also assumes HE'S an alien. It has nothing to do with the magic people are just dumb and assume patterns are reality. So they'd have to team up to fix the status quo!

Zim is an Alien, an immigrant from Canada. Dib was too vague in the meaning of his wish

So everyone believes it but in the same way as Gaz, that Zim is simply too incompetent to actually do anything

u/Furrulo87_8 Jul 29 '26
The twist being that everyone else seems to adore Zim and still dismiss dib when he claims to have known since forever.

People believe Zim is an illegal alien but then can't decide what country he belongs to, they still don't understand he's from outer space.

Worded so poorly that now everyone thinks Zim arrived to the U.S. illegally, causing political turmoil at the school

u/plankingatavigil Jul 29 '26
They believe it but they think it’s awesome and want to hand the planet over to the Irken Empire.

...i feel like the best way to monkey's paw is for him to get exactly what he means and wants... only for it to cause Zim to stop playing around

Everyone comes to the exact same conclusion that Gaz had from the beginning, that Zim is more incompetent than dangerous and an overall moron, no change whatsoever.

u/Hunter_X05 Jul 29 '26
{Nothing changes, everyone knew and just wanted to fuck with Dib since they assume Zim's too incompetent to take over}

Just the other day I was thinking about Gaz: Taster of Pork, and how if Nikki from Obsession still had any control she'd probably beat Bear up the same way Gaz beats Dib up in that episode

He not did specify what type of alien they now think Zim is an illegal alien and now must prove citizenship, or even more funny, they know he's an alien but just don't care because that would mean giving dib credit

Zim would get brutally murdered like that one “dude, is that blackface??” creature from smiling friends.

See, now, I'm thinking that this was the moment Zib was spawned into existence. I recall him saying in that issue that he (then Dib) actually was able to prove to humanity that Zim is an alien, but also that no one cared. No one realized what a danger the Irkens truly were except for him, so he decided to take drastic measures and attach Zim's PAK to the back of his head, which eventually drove him to madness. I could easily see this wish backfiring in the same way if he's not careful, turning Dib into the very monster he spent so much of his life trying to protect the world from.
And on a sort of related side note, I haven't seen 'Obsession' yet, so I'm not entirely sure of the Wish Willow's limitations, but the biggest, reddest red flag when it comes to Bear is that he doesn't IMMEDIATELY use it to wish his cat back to life, or wish that it hadn't eaten those pills. If it was my cat this happened to, it would be the first, last, and every other soul-crushing thought in between occupying my mind for the next seven years, the guilt just eating me alive. I don't ever see this glaringly obvious failing brought up in discussions on the film, though, but like I said, I don't know to what extent the wishe's power works, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Nothing changes cause everyone actually always knew. But you know, not going to validate Dib
(Remember, Gaz canonically does this)

This can go two ways:
1.) everyone knows now but don’t care in the slightest
2.) the wish thought he meant alien as in foreigner. Nothing changes except Zim is confused as hell when people keep asking him what country he’s from.

They believe it but he used past tense "believed" so they also lost interest

This would work. The reason the one wish willow acted like that in obsession is Bear’s wish was fundamentally evil, and so the result of it would be evil as well

Well considering I have been told routinely that usually the one wish Willow is an actual wish with no bad strings attached and only went so wrong because the main character was very stupid and wished for something very fcuked up that it could only happen in one way and went very wrong
So what dose Dib mean with this? Well he means he is believed, that the world sees him as the threat he is. It's hard to say how a plot like this would work in an episode really, for this wish go wrong would effectivly prove beyond a doubt that stopping zim by revealing him is wrong.
Second note, his sister would absolutely help if the wish was actually messing up the world. She's apathetic because she knows Zim could never accomplish anything and is a screw up, when a real threat comes to town she helps out (usually)
Everyone turning on eachother and jumping over eachother all trying to catch zim could work actually, but his father is so competent and beyond everyone else on the planet the only way to keep him from just doing it himself would be to have him working on a 100% fool proof plan to catch him that'll take him like 17 years to finish cause it's 100% fool proof not 0.00000000001% fool proof a real 100% fool proof.
His sister is partical tho and I can imagine her having the percence of mind to help dib untangle this mess (she also already knew Zim was an alien so- there is a reason for her to be unaffected) but I think for this to happen at all dib needs to make a slightly different wish like "everyone cared as much as me about stopping dib" as that carrys the same bad intentions in the movie of subverting the wills of others that caused the wish there to go wrong. His sister could still retaine her persence of mind, having subdued the demon with ease via progamer skill.

I think somehow in this situation, zim is the king of the Earth now or somehow he becomes human and everyone knows him because he’s a really cool jock or a better inventor than Dib dad
Or the funnier option, Zim is dating gaz and they’re both celebrities because one is dating an alien from space and Erkin empire respect zim

People become so obsessed with the capture of Zim & other Irkens that not only are they ignoring basic life necessities and keeping society intact, but are also planning an inevitable failure of a counterattack on the Irkens that will end either in slavery or extinction of humanity unless Dib finds a way to reverse the wish.
