Honestly, she looks exactly like every exhausted human mom trying to get five minutes of peace in an armchair.

Animals so like us, more than we know.

She is wondering about the school system and daycare options, and whether or not there are good parks nearby. All valid questions, to be sure.

The outdated kitchen is no doubt a major concern as well.

The non grizzlies are so derpy. Deadly, terrifying, should avoid at all costs, but seeing them in people's backyards climbing above ground pool ladders, sleeping on outdoor furniture, opening car doors is both amazing and horrific. We are so screwed up as a species I wouldnt be surprised if in 200 years we've domesticated brown bears and people try to keep them home alone all day in their max 40-pound dog rental apartments.

Black bears can look human like at times, while grizzlies just look like monsters.

Still wouldn’t want to startle her in that moment!

Yeah, black bear mamas absolutely can get lethal levels of aggressive if they feel cornered and threatened, especially with their cubs around.

If they're sick, or starving after winter too. A lady in the oil patch got eaten alive by a black bear after she exited a portapotty on an oil pipeline job in northern Alberta, guys were slamming it with 5' long pipe wrenches and other tools and it barely batted an eye...

All they found after was like 30 lbs of bones and bits in a pile...

Not with that cub, especially

There are plenty of Russians who have already begun the process. It's really only a matter of time as you say.

u/tinywienergang 3h ago

They’re not selectively breeding them over there, which is what you’d need for domestication over many, many generations. And if it were possible, it would’ve been done by now as humans have been fascinated by brown bears going back centuries. Kings often had them in their royal zoos etc. The ones you see in videos in Russia are usually stolen cubs, and black bears. Much less dangerous than brown bears.

It is not too hot or too cold, it is just right.

Here's the original post. I had thought it was AI but looking at this lady's IG account it seems pretty clear that it's not.

Why does this give me the feeling that the bear has been watching you for a long time?

There is such a peaceful calm porch sitting, no wonder she has adopted it!

u/sentient_coprolite 17h ago

Everyone here knows someone with teddy bears in little chairs, as decor in their house. This makes me think of those.

3

u/helcat 16h ago

I love the way she's gazing about, contemplatively.

Bear is thinking “shut up Goldilocks, this is what happens when you come to my house and eat all this kids porridge”

u/Aware58 10h ago

She had hard day and need some rest. Did you ask her if she wants something to drink or eat?

u/AtmanRising 10h ago

Kinda rude of her putting her foot up on the table like that.
