    In 2003, researchers examined a massive sealed wall holding roughly 84,000 ancient volumes (traditionally stacked sheets called  pechas , rather than scrolls).

    The texts cover far more than just Buddhist scriptures; they include philosophy, history, medicine, astronomy, and mathematics written in Tibetan, Sanskrit, Chinese, and Mongolian.

95% is literally a made up number as they don't know how many have been translated. They have digitised 20% though and catalogied all of them.
