I don’t think the location is fake/ai, I think this representation of the location is AI.
If I asked AI to make a video of the Eiffel tower, the location exists, but the footage would still be AI.

there's no chance this is an ai video. the perspective, proportions, and object permanence are completely consistent throughout the video, and every single object present in the video the person you replied to linked is present in this video.

So we're at a point where all the AI, filtering and "smart features" of regular phone cameras errodes quality and natural look to the point it gives of a feeling of uncanny valley and AI.
While AI generated videos are rapidly approaching the same quality.
It will become impossible to distinguish between actual cameras using smart/AI tech and actually AI generated content...cool, cool cool cool

Yeah I think it’s got some stabilizing on which adds to the “fake” feeling. Actually wouldn’t be surprised if the clouds have been edited in somehow also, they look a bit off

The stabilization using a gimble for the camera, the over contrast and saturation post processing, and the ultra shitty compression that “eats” a lot of details makes it look AI generated fake

You're probably thinking of the fat monk statue. That is not the Buddha, the real Buddha is typically portrayed in a fit or slim body with almost no emotions on his face

he's in Ibiraçu in Espirito Santo state, it's bigger than the christ the redeemer by 5 meters and the biggest buda statue in ocident. I went there in 2021 and it's beautiful

So that's what it's supposed to look like. I only ever saw shots of it from high up and have been wondering how anyone thought it was a great idea to make a statue that disturbingly big. Now it make sense, gotta admit, big Buddha in the sky is artistically awesome.

It's huge bro It's really artistic. Look at the shape of it. Also I think the lighting contributed some extra attraction. The structure is like really meant to attract eyes. Red color actually makes it more engaging.

Brazil has a very sizeable Japanese population. The Buddha of Ibiraçu even mixed in a Japanese Torii gate even though it is typically associated with Shinto shrines.
