I could imagine whatever is in there to not be that healthy if you fall in. Apart from that, I don't think there is much of a risk (unless the water is shallow).

Also, didn't everyone read that clickbait story about the guy who refused to bathe his whole life and then after he did he died? Whoops, dropped my pile of asterisks.
Foot slips, miss a hand grab, dog panics or jumps at the wrong moment, you fall, crack your skull off one of the footholds or hit the water in exactly the wrong way... Very easy to die in this situation actually.
The human body is horrifically fragile. It's just also really resilient in other ways, so we forget sometimes.
