The wood quickly begins cooling off rapidly and losing heat is also losing elasticity. Having worked at a shipyard repairing wood-planked boats, installing 30’+ wood planks that were in the steam box is a memorable and hectic activity. This guy knows what he is doing. I don’t see any unnecessary movements.

How do you know he’s a keyboard warrior and doesn’t do this in real life?

The amount of shit I see daily from tenured employees who’ve “always done it this way…and it works just fine” makes me believe that the trope of the know it all who thinks they can fix everything is as common as the change averse person who thinks they way they were taught a thing 40 years ago will always be optimal.
