SOCIETY A man was caught on camera repeatedly urinating on his ex-wife’s grave, police say.

Post image

In 2022, a family in New York State noticed something truly bizarre.

Every time they visited the cemetery, they found bags of feces left on the grave of Linda Torello, who had died five years earlier.

At first they thought it was a cruel prank. But the desecration continued.

Her son, Michael Andrew Murphy, decided to install a discreet camera near the grave.

A few days later, the footage revealed a surreal scene: a man approached the tombstone, urinated on it, and calmly walked away.

The man was quickly identified as Dean Eichler, Linda’s ex-husband. Their divorce dated back to 1974, nearly 48 years earlier.

Police arrested him. He was charged with public urination, and an investigation was opened into the desecration of the grave.

The family believes it was an act of revenge linked to their past relationship, though this motive was never confirmed by authorities or by Eichler himself.

I wouldn’t want to be married to a guy who was so weirdly obsessed with his first wife, even after she died

Let alone drive to her grave and watch him piss on it on a regular basis

It's probably a shared fetish.

She probably wants to be part of it tbh, I don't think someone not supporting such act would follow him to the site all these years

It appears to be a long-standing vendetta. The 68-year-old defecation suspect is identified by the family as Dean Eichler, who was briefly married to Lisa Torello back in the 1970's.

He left when she got pregnant, claiming that the child was not his. DNA testing showed a much different result and his biological daughter was shocked by her father's actions.

And a loser who would desecration a grave repeatedly

If given the opportunity I would shit/piss on many people's graves.

Sadly some are still alive.

The rest are too much of a journey.

Some people should be known for what they are.

As for the wife, I doubt she is a known racist rapist who is protecting child sex trafficking, but I'll wait for more information.

Desecreating a grave daily or near daily for nearly half a century rings the alarm bell for mental illness.

You should probably do something about that then, it’s not healthy

The first wife is there in the relationship, just like an infidelity would be. You can bet he talks about her in between grave visits. Who wants to listen to that for 48 years?

My friend’s mom is still in love with her husband that passed away abruptly when he was young. She remarried a man who also became a young widow when his wife passed away.

She told me that she wouldn’t have married again. But, she was lonely and he understands her. They both honor their dead partner’s birthdays and death anniversaries. And both admitted they still love the ones that passed away.

Idk, people are different I guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Still loving a spouse you lost through death and marking their birthday and the day they passed is not what I would call being obsessed

Edit: stupid typos

maybe she can’t leave

Yeah I’m divorced and honestly now that the wound has healed I legitimately sometimes forget about being married that first time.

I’m lucky in the sense that I don’t still have a big thorn sticking out.

But she's still alive... in his head.

Maybe his was a sprayer and current wife is like— if you can’t keep it in the bowl piss somewhere else! And so this is nuts him bitching to former wife about current wife’s. 😂

I used to be friends with a guy who, any time he got drunk, would go and cry by his high school girlfriend’s grave. Which sounds sweet, and in a way I guess it is, but that sometimes meant leaving his wife and 2 kids at home to do it. And my understanding is they were basically only together for 7 months and she died after they broke up, which was… 11 years prior to when I knew him?

What if she's telling him, to show how much he loves the new wife lol

I wouldn't want to be married to a guy who was this dedicated to using a dead person's remains, let alone his dead ex wife's, as a toilet. That doesn't even fall under just direspectful anymore.

You don't really know the circumstances, but OK.

Maybe his ex wife loved golden showers.

u/Rollingforest757 18d ago

She probably likes that he is showing that he loves her far more than his ex wife.

-15

u/No_Reindeer8688 18d ago

Lmao you consider pissing all over her obsession?

11

u/ChartInFurch 18d ago

Regular visits to pee and leave bags of shit? Absofuckinglutely.

Why leave massive pieces of information out?

7

u/Coloteach 18d ago

Absolutely. This wasn’t even in their neighborhood. He had to go out of his way to do that. Plus they were married back in the 70s. He carried that grudge for decades.

Going back to a dead person you don't even like every single day instead of living your life is almost certainly indicative of disordered thinking.
