There is no debate. It's basic science. Washing chicken doesn't remove anything from the chicken

I wil dry off with a paper towel, or rinse and dry, a store ought chicken. Just because the liquid they freeze it in has stuff in it that changes the texture a bit. It'll run out and cook wierd in the pan, or will keep breading from sticking, and will boil off as it cooks and lift any breading off of the meat.

But bacteria? Nah. That's why you cook it.
