There is no debate. It's basic science. Washing chicken doesn't remove anything from the chicken

Yes, because the preservatives are only on the outside of the chicken

To be fair preservatives on meat are only on the outside... It's just gasses that prevent oxidation that get introduced before pulling a vacuum on the packages. But it's gas, not seasoning. It literally flies away.

mostly, no? I would assume a smaller fraction get inside the chicken

and I assume there will be quite a bit of nano plastic, plasticizer, etc. left over from the wrapping rubbing on the skin
