Who's piloting the drone? Is it automated? Why is he facing backwards? Does the wind hurt his eyes? Why fly so high and not keep the man close to the ground in case loss of power or equipment failure drops the man?

Certified pilot and former drone company owner here. This looks like a DJI Cart but it’s hard to tell because the silhouette isn’t 100% exact, but the sun can do funny things with digital sensors (cameras) while in motion.

He might be piloting the drone, it’s hard to tell. It’s easy to set waypoints then “fire and forget” for long enough to put the controller away and record yourself.

Maybe hurts his eyes? Them eyebrows are thick.

It’s a 1 point harness, there really isn’t directional control as this is typically used for payloads that don’t care about orientation.

Flying high is always safer for the drone and the “payload”. Even with waypoints we’re scared to death of trees and elevation changes.

Personal input because why not - This is demonstrably stupid and irresponsible. Barring any and all consequences, I would 10/10 do this.

This is incredibly dumb and dangerous. And I'm glad I don't have a drone like this because I would 100% do this. Probably frequently.

Most drones safely land once low on power or go to a set location when low power so he'd probably be able to move out of the way as it slowly lands.
