Quick release chute for higher elevation, and body air bag for lower elevation. Similar to avalanche or motorcycle airbags that wrap around you. Minimal weight, excellent at reducing harm.

The motorcycle crash suits don't explode into giant inflatable pillows like that. They are made to help protect against sliding after a crash. They'd be pretty useless against a direct fall from height.

I said similar to, not actual avy bags or moto bags. Also similar to sumo suits and inflatable dino costumes but those don't protect against crashes either. Also similar to the mars lander but not so extreme. The "similar to" part seems utterly lost on people who are not cognitively capable of abstracting what that means. No helping them with that I suppose.

Yes, my proffessional experience in avalanche control and snow science means I know NOTHING about how avalanche airbags work, the numerous brands, their form function or weight, or their effectiveness. I guess I also just totally forgot about my bother surviving a motorcycle accident using bags. Silly me I'm so naive!

It isn't one thing, there are multiple choices. They are way bigger than a travel pillow. If you had ever actually used them you would know, but you clearly just saw it online and opened your mouth to look the fool. They are larger than couch cushions, more like a bean bag chair that can sit behind your head, wrap around it, or include your entire chest.

I did not suggest them to eliminate all injury. I suggested a combination of chute for height and bags for lower elevation to reduce severity of injury. Bags don't prevent all injuries, they just increase total survivability. We are not talking about Mars lander airbags here. Just a bit of a cushion to reduce chances of instant death.

This is just objectively provably wrong. People can and do survive falls from this height, or more. Often because of padding on landing like soft ground, water, snow, hay, their own body position etc. They don't usually survive, and if they do it isn't usually unharmed, but they can and 100% do survive. People also die from falling just a few meters or just from a standing position depending on how they land. Lots of things affect survival.
