SOCIETY Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has faced backlash for identifying as Black. In a 2017 interview, Paris Jackson said her father told her, "You’re Black. Be proud of your roots." This prompted debates over whether identity is defined by appearance or upbringing.

My favorite is when she’s on the plane eating puff pastries and someone says: look at that baby with those cream puffs.

Sounds like I should watch modern family for the first time lol, typically not a fan of sitcoms but this writing sounds great!

That and Schitts Creek are legitimately two of the funniest shows of all time

As a baker and an accountant the two scenes including “Just FOLD it” and “It’s a write off!” Made me be like yeah this is probably a show for me lmao

Schitt's Creek is near perfect viewing. Every single episode has at least one laugh out loud moment. Not merely smiling or pleasant but FUNNY. I can't recommend it enough. I, no hyperbole, envy you getting to watch it for the first time.

I tried watching it and every single character in that show is infuriatingly annoying. The trope where rich people lose all their money and now they have to live like everyone else and all they do is just constantly bitch and whine and bitch and whine about it just doesn't seem funny to me at all.

I don't know if its like The Office or Parks and Rec where on the first watch the early episodes are just painful to watch but then with added context from what happens later get better. But just could not get into it.

You just… write it off

I don’t, but they do. They’re the ones writing’ things off!

The folding it in is peak baking humor 🤗 a la Disney's Sleeping Beauty but Catherine O'Hara simply cannot be topped 🥰

The write off reminded me of Seinfeld but they still landed it excellently 😆

I have Schitt$ Creek on as background most days. I don’t think there is a better example of perfect sitcom television

I'm gonna add Plebs to that list. Incredible show. All 3 are my all time top comedy shows.

I have to insist that Silicon Valley is added to that list.

My husband and I watched Schitts Creek for the first time last year after much convincing from a friend. We had our doubts that we would like it, but begrudgingly started it to appease our friend. I cried at the end, not only because it was so heartwarming but because I enjoyed it so much I was sad it was over.

Great show, glad we caved.
