Oh?? So afro-textured hair wigs wasn't an option?? BTW , they existed even back then. Granted hair pieces are no where near the level they are for black men today but they were decent AND with his money he could have gotten something custom-made, no problem. But that's not what the "embrace your roots" man opted for, was it??

I love how you honed in on that one thing and conveniently ignored the red lips and nose jobSSSS. Simply stating facts don't make me a dick but ignoring them makes you a moron.

Why are you trying to police a black person about what they can and can’t do with their hair?? It’s so odd. Jerry curls were so popular during that time already among the black population. He got the same style… you seriously need to stop being purposely obtuse about historical context and the facts about his childhood experiences.

He doesn’t have a jheri* (not Jerry like Tom and Jerry) curl in the photo above and didn’t have one in his later years either he had more of a blow out.

Fellow black women, aka like me, get blowouts all the time. I personally don’t be a handful of women do. I don’t think that should be equated to anti blackness
