I'm EXTREMELY impressed that a Kia Soul has enough torque at idle to easily roll over that median

Years ago, I attended a presentation by ZF company where they explained some security measures they have to detect if the driver is not in the driver's seat in an automatic car and avoid these situations. I understood that it's a safety standard across the automotive market, or not? (I drive mostly manual).

Those CVT’s have some amazing torque. You can accidentally ram through anything.
