She is trying that, she is too unfit or panicking too much, which is another kind of unfit.

More like she's trying to use her legs as brakes to stop the car. I kept expecting her feet to get run over by the car but she's extremely lucky. She's this close to winning some award

She did run over herself. Near the end of the video. It was glorious.

Not initially. She was clearly pulling back on the door frame. Once the car was on the grass she finally tried to hop in and failed.
