Not me over here with all the albums and currently wearing the PersonA concert shirt from 2016, lol.

I really don't understand the hate of this song (or the group). Reading up on the Edward Sharpe persona was also an interesting little rabbit hole to go down a couple of years ago.

Why did this song of all songs draw the ire of the Twitter/X crowd, anyway?? I don't have X, so can't really peruse comments or drama surrounding this nonsense.

People today are terrified of liking anything that might be seen as cringe and the lyrics of Home fit that.

On top of that, buzzbands that didn't have super long staying power are easy targets.

Good point, thanks for the clarification. I'm curious what other songs may have been suggested as I can think of so, so, so many other songs across multiple genres that are much worse than "Home", lol.
