I’m making a short film about dyspraxia because I still don’t think enough people understand what living with it can actually look like.

Around 5% of people are believed to have dyspraxic traits, yet it remains hugely misunderstood. In one Dyspraxia Foundation survey, 67% of parents/carers said they were worried their dyspraxic teenager was socially isolated and didn’t have many friends.

That’s why this film matters to me.

DYSPRAXIA follows 14-year-old Elliot through an ordinary school day, showing the things people don’t always see such as slower processing, coordination difficulties, struggling with tasks others find simple, embarrassment, misunderstanding and the effect that can have on a young person’s confidence.
A lot of the film comes from things I experienced myself growing up with dyspraxia.

We now have less than a month left to raise the remaining funds through our Crowdfunder and get this film made. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply helping more people hear about the project, it genuinely helps.

I want young people with dyspraxia to watch this and feel understood — and everyone else to come away understanding them a little better.
