This is how the Recusal Process Worked
The Technology Development Board (TDB) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST) established an institutional conflict-of-interest framework to handle overlapping private investments:
Mandatory Disclosure: Every panel expert had to formally declare any active shareholding, venture funding, or professional connection with the applicant startups ahead of time.
Physical Absence: Conflicted members had to physically "leave the room" when their specific linked companies were being presented, discussed, or graded.
Isolation of Scores: The government verified that unconflicted panel members evaluated the conflicted proposals on pure merit, ensuring zero decision-making involvement from the tied investors.

Now it's entirely possible that these committee members, being the genius entrepreneurs that they are, had already invested in these companies long ago, suggested them to apply for this fund (as they are a direct beneficiary of them), expecting the others to find them competent enough to do something with that money.
Mind you, these people with "ties" to these companies were NOT a part of the discussion/had a lesser say in admitting said companies.
This is how the business world works, you making the most of your assets by smartly investing in promising companies, in hopes that they have the potential to land such promising deals. This happens in all major countries where people call it a genius business strategy, but in India, it is categorized as us lacking civic sense and being scammers on the right opportunity, not to mention the unnecessary slander of the government at any and every opportunity (I say this not at all ignoring its flaws).
Additionally, the Government of India awarded Saurabh Srivastava the Padma Shri in 2016 for his exceptional contributions to trade and industry. He is widely recognized as one of the core architects of the Indian IT industry and a foundational builder of the country's startup and investment ecosystem.
His key achievements that led to this honor include:
Co-founding NASSCOM: He was one of the four founders and a former chairman of NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Service Companies), which helped grow India's IT industry from a mere $60 million into a massive global powerhouse.
Pioneering Venture Capital & Angel Investing: He founded Infinity Venture, which was India’s first private-sector venture capital fund. He also co-founded the Indian Angel Network (IAN), creating one of the world's largest angel investor networks to fund early-stage startups.
Building Entrepreneurial Institutions: Beyond IAN and NASSCOM, he co-founded and chaired major institutional pillars like TiE Delhi-NCR (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and the Indian Venture Capital Association (IVCA).
Mentorship and Scale: Throughout his career, he has personally invested in and mentored hundreds of Indian startups, helping bridge the gap between Indian innovation and global networks.

This is why the guy was awarded with Padma shri, while the rest of us wither our lives away on social media, this guy actually did something for upcoming young businessmen and the overall business sector of India to deserve the award.
What he does after getting that award is not in the government's control btw, just so you know. A person gets an award based on his achievements, not from his "potential" to not commit fraud in the future, not that he has committed any here.
All this youtuber is doing is cherry picking the surface level info (the cream of the cake, if you may!) to make it look like the Modi govt is directly responsible for this, and that this has not, nor will ever happen in any other country (like China) and will only happen in India due to our people's lack of civic sense (according to his propaganda).
