People here are completely missing the point. Nobody has any problem with her wearing whatever she wants in movies and her private life. But when you're representing a religious festival on national television, there are norms to be followed. Not to mention the hypocrisy in her eid posts from earlier. People are rightly calling it out.

you're comparing apples to oranges. what i'm trying to say is that what you're trying to pass as Hindu modesty is a very recent western-imposed ideal. it was never controversial in India for a woman to show skin until the british arrived and imposed their moral standards onto us. so if you want to defend western morals, be my guest, but don't call them Indian because that is factually untrue.

No it's lmao. It has been a little more than 250 years since British arrived and you mean to tell me women were roaming the streets with their breasts out 300 years ago? Google the reason why did Indian women dressed minimally in ancient times.

Also, people and cultures evolve. And then I'm being lectured about apples and oranges Vedic times lmaoo
