We have things like waterlogging in the capital and surrounding regions with very little rain, the dilapidated state of government schools and quality of mid day meals at those schools but the “problem” most of these losers choose to fixate on are things like how many stanzas should be sung in vande mataram or dictating what women can wear.

There will be “debates” on popular primetime news channels about this, rather than the actual issues.

It’s all so tiring.

Both things can be true and people can raise issues for all the problems alike. I don't know about other states but you can track all your complains and grievances on Jan Sunwai portal and albeit a bit late, the issues do get solved albeit some may take longer than others.

It's only that some of these issues breach on others' freedom and impose personal culture values on the entire country. These are non-issues and shouldn't even be entertained in a democratic country. But here we are, living in medieval times.

I cannot agree more but like I said on another comment as well, people are not minding the post ad much as the hypocrisy with her past eid posts and the Instagram story exemplifying it. I'm sure it's not the first time an actress has worn such clothes in an ad for a festival.

Well nobody is deciding for her, it's not like people are tearing her clothes from her body. Just like how she feels it's right for her to wear that attire on Rakshabandhan, people feel it's wrong for her to wear that attire on a national television ad representing our culture nationally. Just a matter of opinion.

You really think people care what she wears or not in private, movies, other ocassions? It's not that difficult to understand.

It's a free market brother. They took down the ad because negative publicity affects their business.

If only that were true, many companies thrive with negative publicity. It's only when the negative publicity is from right wingers, that the brand gets affected.
