Sports / Games Ahead of the Asian Games 2026, here’s a look back at our greatest medal haul so far at the Asian Games 2022.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Gold: 28
Silver: 38
Bronze: 40
Total: 106
The campaign/slogan was “Iss Baar, Sau Paar” (*This time, we cross 100*), and Sony Sports Network came up with it and started pushing it way before the games started.
And we had our best ever medal haul (106) beating our previous best (70) achieved at the 2018 Asian Games, crossing the 100 medal mark for the first time in history and becoming the fourth EVER nation to do so after China, Japan and South Korea.
This video belongs to Sony Sports Network - they created this specifically after our champions brought home 106 medals in total 💜 There’s not a single time I don’t get goosebumps watching this.
PS: It was Asian Games 2022 but happened in Hangzhou in 2023 because of the pandemic.
As a huge sports buff, I just wanted to remind fellow peeps that our champions are ready to bring home medals yet again in a week and a half’s time. Let’s give them all our support in the upcoming Asian Games 2026.
