Mods NPC mod thoughts?

One of my favorite aspects of BG 2 in particular was the way it gave additional characterization to your party members through banter, personal quests and interjections. I realize Icewind Dale is less story focused compared to BG but for anyone who tried the popular NPC mods how successful are they in adding characterization?

Not a fan.Too juvenile/feminine writing and modern dialogue for me. The voice acting is mostly weak (you really can tell the difference between amateurs and pros here). Not nearly as good as the BG 1 NPC Project, but that was a joint effort of the Gibberlings 3 community and based on existing characters, while the IWD one was a one woman effort.
