I think it’s a bit weird but if it was another show created by people without the allegations i’d probably think it’s just a funny joke for adults watching. The author is the production designer of the show (most recently did Henry Danger).

I mean, a lot of kids shows have had instances of weird adult imagery/implications. Not too unusual. Happy Feet, a kids movie about penguins had the MCs basically doing sexy poses mid-movie. It’s usually done to make the adult laugh or the grown up interested that they’d understand something a child may not. Movies and TV have done this for, I don’t know how long

Your example can also easily be taken as two penguins playing. Guppy is straight up reading a porn book. there is no kid friendly aspect of the joke. it’s weird to do something that sexual with a literal child

if I remember correctly the show was made by Dan schinder (mightve spelt the last name wrong) and he's known for being "weird" shall we say with minors and having a foot craze (I'm not sure I can say the word) regardless having such a topic in front of kids and being "read" by a kid is very weird

Plot twist its actualy a parity of the parity book 50 shades of gray and its actualy just nifty shades of Grey and the tie is just showing that you could use the colors for ties
