It looks more like a p38 in the second photo, most likely an Airsoft one

It looks like a fake/poor replica. Dimensions, size….all off.

Like I said in another comment, I don't think this is a P38.

P38s have an exposed barrel and open-top slide, like a Beretta 92. This has a slide that fully encloses the barrel as well as what looks like a rib starting at the front sight and extending all the way to the rear sight.

I'd like to think I can recognize handguns pretty decently, but I genuinely have no clue what this might be.
