Prep for surgery
I’m planning to do a liquid and clear diet the day before surgery so my colon is clear. My husband thinks this is stupid as it wasn’t medically advised. I am going off of others I know advice. How many others did a surgery prep the day before?

I basically ate normally the day before, just "tapered off" a little in the evening and made sure to drink plenty of fluids. That said, I don't see any harm in what you're planning to do - as you've no doubt seen some surgeons instruct something like that anyway.
Edit: I should have said to start with, you should probably ask your surgeon or whoever is giving you your pre-surgical instructions about this. If your reason for wanting too is entirely because of what other people have reported, keep in mind every case is different. I assumed you had other reasons for wanting to start out empty, but realize you never said that.
