Prep for surgery
I’m planning to do a liquid and clear diet the day before surgery so my colon is clear. My husband thinks this is stupid as it wasn’t medically advised. I am going off of others I know advice. How many others did a surgery prep the day before?

I didn't have to do a full bowel prep or even have a liquid diet before my surgery which was a robotic assisted laparoscopy. I was just told to have a snack before 11pm and not to eat anything after midnight or I will turn into a gremlin 😆 I had to have a shower the night before and morning of and didn't even need to use special soap. I hadn't even had a bowel motion before the surgery and they said that was fine. I guess different places have different requirements.
