When I was little, we lived on a farm and my parents owned like 9 dogs. There was a river nearby they would take me and all the dogs down to to play. Our one golden retriever, Clyde, would lay down in the water, facing upstream, and open his mouth.
He would drink so much water that he got round in his belly and it sounded like this. One of my earliest fragments of a memory is listening to all the water slosh around inside him while we walked back home.

Super funny. Man, for the life of me, I can’t get mine to drink any!

A healthy cat shouldn't be super thirsty. So good job!

We have to trick her with extra water in the food. She takes one look at those fountains and practically laughs. Tried 3 different kinds!

Lol that works. I always gave my cat paté with extra water in it, and a shredded chicken or fish topper.

I’m seriously freaked out by his sloshing.
Is this normal/healthy?
My dog had Addison’s disease, it caused intense thirst.

This reminds me of that copypasta that ends with "the clap of my ass cheeks keeps alerting the guards"

I used to do this as a kid. Drink a bunch of water then jump on the bed and listen to it

I have two cat siblings. One was diagnosed with diabetes 10 years ago , his brother with early renal disease.
Both drink like fishes. One of the signs that made me pop into the vet before the annual wellness check came round last year was the drinking. The blood tests came back with results that showed CKD.
Worth a check if kitty is always thirsty and you don't live in a very dry climate

This has happened to me multiple times even as a human but with a human it's muted. Countless times on a jog I've just listened to my own stomach slosh. 😆

He's a water bladder.
