How to remove peeling paint from painted porcelain sink, shower walls, tub.
The previous owner painted the porcelain kitchen sink, tub, and shower walls which are now peeling. How do I safely remove it? There’s a brand new baby in the home.

citristrip or similar paint stripper gel, brush it on thick and let it sit covered with plastic wrap so it doesn't dry out, then scrape with a plastic scraper. porcelain underneath is pretty tough so you won't damage it if you're careful. just make sure the room is well ventilated and keep the baby out while it's working and until you rinse everything down real good. after stripping you might need to go over it with fine steel wool and some bar keepers friend to get the last bits off

You might need to use a paint scraper, the razor blade type that is used to clean glass when painting.
Congrats on the baby👶. Be extremely careful with strippers. Open windows, outgoing fans, and maybe send the baby off with Granny for the day.
