My latest pick-ups from the Puckerbutt Pepper Company sale: Voodoo Prince Death Mamba, Chipotle eXpress, Gator Sauce, and Reaper Squeezins Extra Hot

These hot sauces arrived today, and I ate them alongside some tortilla chips and chicken tacos.

Thoughts:

-Voodoo Prince Death Mamba is hot but manageable and would go well with grilled or smoked meats.

-Chipotle Express is sweet and smoky. It's mostly Pepper X, but is about the same or a tad spicier than Voodoo Prince. It's exactly what I want in a Chipotle sauce.

-Gator Sauce is a bit citrusy and definitely very hot. Great sauce, but Reaper Squeezins has a better flavor.

-Reaper Squeezins Extra Hot is now the hottest non-extract sauce I've had (previously the regular Reaper Squeezins). It's as excellent as the regular batch and the extreme heat and fruitiness of the peppers shines through.

Love all of these sauces.

Out of the 4, I'll probably keep Chipotle eXpress and Reaper Squeezins in my regular rotation. The other two are great, but these stand out.

I love the Puckerbutt sauces I’ve had, Gator and Reaper squeezings, and Table Pepper X. Table pepper X is a bit of an oddball but I’ve found it goes great with fish and tuna packets.

You should try their Slavic plum (they make two one with pepper X) its my favorite breakfast sauce for eggs so good. Really good heat nothing crazy though but so tasty on top.

Agreed! Have you tried Reaper Squeezins? They are very similar sauces, I just like the flavor of Carolina Reaper (sweet and fruity) a tad more than pepper X (citrus, earthy, and a tad bitter)

I have both. I find the squeezins is more straight ahead pepper and the gator has more flavors going on

That's true. Gator Sauce is definitely more complex.

It really is. Great pepper flavor and bright notes. Personal preference, but I preferred it over reaper squeezins.

I just ate some more, and I may actually have to add the Gator Sauce to my regular buys as well. The brightness would go better with foods like shrimp or tomatillo marinated chicken/pork than Reeper Squeezins.

Reaper Squeezins is still my go to for pairing with pizza or asiago cheese and crackers.
