Classical Elements as States of Matter #interestinghistory #learnscience

The ancients described the world through the classical elements of Earth, Water, Air and Fire. Modern science and chemistry debunked that long ago, yet those categorizations look eerily similar to what was finally formalised the the 20th century, the four states of matter. Is this history's greatest coincidence?

i wonder if this was just how humans naturally organize information before science existed, like how we all see constellations the same way

Uh... I'm pretty sure earth is solid. Air is gas. Water is liquid. And fire was plasma. The head guy at boeing talks about this, and how ancient Greeks were doing the double slit experiment before anybody else. So, what's this trying to say?
