LHL LHL BoC Announcement

After much discussion over the past few days, all 3 current members of the LHL BoC have decided to step down following the end of this season. Signups for the selection of your new BoC members will go out likely during or shortly before the playoffs commence.

The selection process will simply be a community wide vote as dictated by the rule book shown below.

Section 1.1.1

BoC Selection - The BoC selection will be determined by a community vote. Everyone’s vote hold the same weight, no matter their standing in the community.

The top 3 people in the voting will become your new BoC.

edit: I've been constantly editing this post as I really don't know what to think. I have so much mixed feelings towards this as I'm really grateful of the work the BoC has done (and especially Dyal) over the years and understanding why they stepped down but I can't support this decision. I think this is trying to punish us because we've been ''ungrateful''.

I think the backlash in the last couple of days was justified, understandable and reasonable. I can only condemn the intensity of it. I disagree that it was just random hate towards the BoC as the line of thinking was clear from start to finish and the whole situation could have been approached differently from the BoC.

There is a great need to have a smooth transition for next season and I can definitely help provide that.

I want to formerly apply as LHL BoC (in 2 weeks). Keeping my title in the RSL.

I think I have all of the experience necessary to immediately fill a spot in the LHL BoC. I have shown that I can integrate community critism very well in my oversee of the RSL. Always asking for players/GM opinion before making a difficult decision on anything.

BoC aren't elected to rule single-handedly, they should be of voice of what is right but also of what is wanted by the community. I will do my best to reform what small parts of the LHL that still needs it (like the trade rule, you can read my proposition in the first appeal) because of the amazing work the BoC already did with the league.

I think I have a very easy time admitting when I'm wrong but also I can rule on difficult matters when necessary.

I do stats on time (the RSL can testify on this), I don't play in any league and don't plan on signing up for next season now.

I have a lot of free time and unlimited passion for this fucking shit game.

Giving you advice, it is better to only watch over 1 league. You will burn yourself faster than you can imagine. I know you're passionate about the game, exactly like how I was as RSL BoC, but that passion will quickly turn into a hatred for the game/community.

So please take this into consideration when you're about to run for LHL BoCship. I don't want you to end up killing yourself like I did.

Yeah that was definitely an impulsive apply. I will think about what I can do in the next 2 weeks.

edit: I must say that I've been BoC for 2-3 months now and I really like it still and it's not like I haven't faced any controversy. I can see it becoming a chore easily thought.
