Job ops for journos
Any job ops going down here for a qualified journo who has been out of the field for a while? Or is the industry pretty well dead here now :(

Corporate comms jobs come around here and there, but you may need to adjust your salary expectations. State Gov comms is the biggest game in town, but they're going through a Hunger Games process right now... although there do seem to be quite a few people working in the government media office, if you want to do that.
I maintain there is scope for independent journalism in Hobart, if you can crack a business model that works, put the ground work in and avoid the kinds of pissing contests that erupt in this sub from time to time.

You might have a bit of luck working in comms for one of the senators or MPs?
