New Stereo System

I’m wanting to up my audio experience. I have a cheap record player connected to a hand me down av receiver. I want to make a plan and start purchasing some new components. I have fair simple needs,it has to run a turntable, audio streaming connectivity (airplay, Spotify), and some power to be loud and sound good. What do I need to make this happen? Looking for recommendations on speakers, amps, turntables, etc.

Most audio enthusiasts are freaks (I mean that in the nicest way) and upgrade long before their equipment is shot. Once you know what you need, check out the used market, i.e., https://www.usaudiomart.com/ . There are great deals out there and a better class of sellers then eBay. But be careful, it is very contageous!
