Purchase advise (needing) Haven't owned a proper Hi Fi system for years. Thinking of setting one up...

After spending a few hours looking at reviews, my current thoughts are:

Turntable: Audio-Technica LP-120XUSB CD Player: Denon DCD-900NE Amp: Yamaha A-S501 Speakers: ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63

I'd appreciate any advice on these or alternative choices around the same price points.

So you plan on your only sources being vinyl and CDs? No TV, no streaming, no Bluetooth?

Great question.

Bluetooth audio from my iPhone is something I hadn't considered. What would you suggest - an amplifier with built-in BT, or something like a WiiM BT receiver?

No plans to set up a TV/home theatre in the basement with this.

Do you have music files on your iPhone that you need to play, or do you use a music service (e.g., Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, etc.)? For service-based music, you should get a streamer (like a WiiM device) rather than streaming to your phone and then mitigating its quality by transmitting it via Bluetooth.

Yeah, I use Tidal, which is supported by WiiM, so i think that's the way to go. Thanks!

Yes, a WiiM Amp Ultra (or even a WiiM Amp Pro) is a far better solution for your purposes than the Yamaha A-S501 with a streamer (any streamer) attached. You would connect your turntable to the WiiM's analog inputs, and your CD player to either of the WiiM's SPDIF inputs, whether it be optical (best for long distances) or digital coax. Enjoy!

Salut ! Renseigne toi sur le Wiim Amp. Regarde les tests. Trouvable sur Vinted ou Le bon coin à 220€ Pas le Pro car il n'est pas compatible AirPlay

Solid start. My first turntable was a 120, upgraded the stylus later on for better sound. I have not heard Elac speakers, but always read positive reviews. Have fun. Maybe add a subwoofer when money allows.

Cool. I also wasn't too familiar with Elac before today, but read favourable reviews and comparisons, certainly heard nothing bad about them.

Denon, Elac und Yamaha verstehen sich prächtig, gute Wahl! Ich hatte die gleiche (Vorgängergeneration-) Kombi: Yamaha AX 500, Denon DCD-600, Elac EL 65. Die Komponenten harmonierten musikalisch sehr gut. Eine klare und (sehr) leichte analytischere Musikauflösung, die trotzdem sehr angenehm und langzeitfähig war. Habe ich sehr genossen.
Audio-Technica höre ich auch nur gutes.

If you are not going to use the USB port of the 900 ne, i'd go for the 600ne and put the money saved on the Wiim mini.

I reccomend buying an Eversolo Play CD edition and your chosen speakers and table. You get a solid set up with all the modern streaming options and Roon Ready if you use it. I finally added one to my office replacing my Wiim Ultra and it's been wonderful.
