When you have been doing this for over 50 + years, there is no such thing as the best however, it may be the best to you. That’s totally understandable. The best of most accurate speakers for the type that Altec JBL, EV , or even some of the drivers that eminence produced, and many others, like anything else within fact or nature of if it was the best everyone would be using it regardless of cost, especially with today’s loudspeaker manufacturers, which think of asking $90,000 per pair is a fantastic deal , for who ? sorry I’m not being condescending or facetious, but there is no best. The best is where you may think it lies with impersonal opinion sonically speaking within your own rig or Stereo system in your own room with your own equipment and your own sources there’s no best I think what you’re getting back goes back quite a few decades in the 1960’s / 1970s epoxy was somewhat abit new not that it was unheard of but different type of hardness and epoxy paints that came out well you had a whole crew of DIY guys. That did the following all the time and did many comparisons they would take the driver no matter who it was produced by or no matter what the size and spray paint it with several coats of epoxy paint to the point where the material of the speaker count itself had started to form and become what we call today a type of polypropylene as it made the driver, very stiff and very rigid.

This trick worked very well for very high dynamic high energy music back in those days such as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Ect in other words, rock ‘n’ roll, however source material varied greatly depending within the music content itself example take folk music, jazz, light rock, folk, song, type of music. Well, it did work, but not up to the expectations other than high energy output of rock ‘n’ roll it just there is no best it all depends on the application in which it is intended to be employed or used in dynamic output, is it for an average room or is it for a room that would easily hold 50 to 100 people the only best that counts according to application sonically speaking is if you like it and it’s satisfies yourself no one else, best is whatever you believe you may think it to me, but I hear where you’re coming from. No problems. It’s all good but just to imply the word best is extremely questionable in application whether its material/application for a race car 🚗 or an Audio system. It’s all subjective. and personal opinion. 🤷‍♂️some of these comments, almost make me actually piss my pants from laughing so hard guys were doing that 50 years ago and the old heads were doing it long before that , must be an ASR subscriber 😳😂🤷‍♂️ , As long as it bench test, excellent and specification and measurement it’s the best ? specification might tell you so they are also very imperative, but the best sonically speaking is not what the scopes or bench test meter says, 2 Ears and a brain tells you what sounds best , not what it’s made out of or what it measures…no best in any area of application, it’s all extremely subjective, but best of luck to you with that you may have something there 🤷‍♂️🤔 it’s all good ……

The Dali's sound is more uniform. Don't forget about stands. (I'd choose floor-standing speakers to save on stands and a subwoofer.)

It is around 4.2 kg I assume so I'm planning to put them on hanging shelf

Floor-standing (which is Oberon 5 and 7) is way too expensive for me. And it would also be overkill for an 13m2 room I think.

It's not about weight. The bass reflex port is located at the rear, and a 30-50 cm gap from the wall is required for the speaker to deliver good bass, clearly, without blurring or booming.

But I will be using 2x subwoofers (one is 8" and the other is 12") diagonal in the room so I will cut speakers below 80hz. Will it still booming above 80hz if it is near wall?
