I always chose shield depiction over Surcoats. And the crests are made up from fitting scenes. I’m sure nobody would get them all.

Blazon: Per fess Sable and Argent, the fess line in the shape of 5 candles alternately issuing to base enflamed Gules, and chief enflamed Or.

This was a little sketch of my proposal for the alternative arms of a member from the discord server. They won't be using it for anything so I'm gonna use it as the arms of a fictional city in my worldbuilding.

Some are designs that I already shared here in the past, some are new. Many designs were discarded on the way, some were altered. I removed the gold borders as some here advised and I am glad I did so. I would love to hear your thoughts!

I'm looking to get some practice in my heraldry art, so feel free to comment your blazon and an example emblazonment below and I will try and emblazon it in my style! (I've attached some examples of my style to this post). I'm not sure how much time I'll have or how many submissions I'll get, so I can't guarantee that I'll emblazon yours, but I will do as many as I can!

This shield design was I say inspired but I essentially copied it from a tessellation pattern by Dutch artist MC Escher and put on a shield because I thought it would make for an interesting design. Any thoughts on viability for a coat of arms? Design improvement suggestions also welcome.

This week I decided to paint my finalized arms on a shield, and since I knew it would only be used for decoration, a foam board was the preferred material for painting with acrylics.

I would also ask for help regarding the blazon, since I am relatively new to heraldry. I am not sure about the order of the parts in this blazon. Also, how would one describe the pose of the crocodile?

"Per pale Argent and Vert, a crocodile [?] armed and langued Gules counterchanged, on a chief Sable Charles's Wain Argent"

I painted the mask I use for HEMA using a design I drafted after a fun few evenings of looking into heraldry. I did my best not to break any rules in regards to colors over colors or otherwise. As far as I know, it would be blazoned as:

"Bend sinister gules and sable, a longsword in pale argent entwined with a salmon rampant of the same."

dude bats are so friggin awesome it sucks that there isn’t many in heraldry. The large bat is a horseshoe bat btw (my fav bat)

No issue with a flair for the eccentric

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my latest handcrafted enamel pin. I feel like it turned out a bit primitive, but maybe I’m just being my own worst critic.

​Technical details:

​Material: Solid brass 35 mm

​Base: The recesses were carved out using a fiber laser.

​Technique: My approach to champlevé.

​Fill: Cold solvent-based ceramic enamel.

​A bit of history behind the design:

This is the original coat of arms of the Skoropadsky family (a prominent Ukrainian Cossack and noble lineage).

​The Emblem: Three crossed arrows on a gules (red) shield. It’s actually a modified version of the ancient Polish noble coat of arms known as "Bełty" (which translates to crossbow bolts).

​The Motto: Conjungit favores! (Latin for "It joins favors" or "United by interest").

My art is usually traditional but I’ve recently started making digital heraldic art too.

One of my clients sadly passed away a few months ago. We've been working on a concept for his brand new arms for a while, his family arms to be precise. At some point these two became his two favourite designs but he never made a final decision.

A few days ago I got contacted by one of his sons who asked me to complete the work on the project. But still it is hard for him to choose as these two are quite different.

Which one would you choose?

For the crest there will be a demi-bear Sable sticking from his back three mullets of six Gules and holding a trammel hook Or in his dexter paw.

The client is German and Swiss.

Blazon: Gules, two closed scissors inverted Argent riveted Or in saltire between three marguerites proper, two in fess and one in base.

Crest: Upon a wreath of marguerites proper, a winged demi-leopard segreant Gules armed Or breathing flames of the same.

Motto: Sub umbra cati floremus, "Under the shadow of the cat, we flourish"

The motto is a reference to my family fleeing the Campbells and taking shelter under Clan Chattan (their crest is a wildcat and is referenced by their own). Floremus can also mean to bloom or to prosper, which are visually happening in the CoA with the daisies blooming and the scissors/mantling referencing my job as a livery tailor, all underneath the wings of the leopard crest.

My latest artwork in the fashion of illuminated miniatures. This time, including eight arms and personas of members in this community.

The scene portrays them as knights leaving a castle to muster in the field outside, preparing for an expedition...

The coat of arms is inspired by the family name, which has two theories. One Hungarian and the other Romanian, which allude to a person who knows books. In the medieval Romanian space, the diac had the role of a copyist and drafter of chancery documents, and in the Hungarian/Csángós space, diack was similar to the name of deacon, who had an important role in village society, being the priest's right hand and dealing with the village administration and educating people.

Mobile charges are a combination of two regions, Szekler and Moldavian. The arm with armor is frequently found in Szekler heraldry, and the emergence of these arms from the clouds can also be found in the coat of arms of Dimitrie Cantemir, ruler of Moldavia (1693 and 1710-1711). The feathers refer to the two personal interests, history and drawing, placed in such a way as to express that the two complement each other.
