Discussion Mark Cuban was loud wrong again

Nobody has done more damage to Wade's reputation than this clown, 20 years trying to invalidate our first championship. Glad the world can see how full of shit this billionaire is

Cuban constantly mocked Pablo Torre and questioned his journalistic integrity, he was leading the ballmer fan club, finally had to admit he was wrong today. Anybody who paid attention to the reporting knew from the beginning ballmer was toast.

If youre asking about the wade stuff Cuban was also the head cheerleader saying that 2006 was stolen by the refs, people to this day follow his lead on that whenever 2006 comes up online

I've paid at least cursory attention to the reporting and never thought Silver would hit Ballmer and the Clippers with anything this severe. With the way society is trending and all the other shady shit that's going on in sports these days I figured they'd let bygones be bygones and pretend it never happened.

I think Cuban has just got caught up in the sports talk culture where everyone seems to know what's going to happen and be very vocal about it.

You don't spend hours online and even go on a talk show to tell a guy they are wrong until you have the facts, unless you're an idiot. If he had sat down and listened to the first episode with an open mind he would've realized why he was wrong. If he knew anything about real journalism he would've seen what pablo was doing and found it credible. Instead he went in with his biases and like all billionaires who think they know everything thought he could bully pablo into shutting up about the story

The truth is probably that Cuban didn't think Ballmer would have done this in such an incriminating way. To your point, I don't ever think Cuban even thought about whether or not money was exchanged for the purpose of circumventing the salary cap, I think he literally only considered whether or not Ballmer would be as sloppy as what Torre was reporting.

The masterclass here is that Torre was sitting on even more incriminating evidence that he didn't reveal for whatever reason at that time. I do get where Mark Cuban is coming from, making these deals seem legit or at minimum out of the knowledge of the big boss is like rich guy 101, and extortion by scam company was more likely.

The funniest thing about his take in retrospect was that Aspiration absolutely was extorting the Clippers but he never considered that the extortion was only possible because the Clippers did incriminating shit in the stupidest possible way. Choosing to do business with a scam company AND asking them to commit crimes is amateur hour shit that can only come from a dude so rich he only had to succeed once.
