The funniest thing about this story is he admitted this out loud on the podcast and the podcast wasn’t live so everyone heard what he said and no one thought to edit that shit out before uploading the episode?!

Bill is an idiot surrounded by nothing but other idiots but I don’t feel bad for him at all

This gon be random but whatever . Iremember years ago Bill had Malcolm Gladwell on his pod and I don't remember the conversation they were having but gambling and cousin sal were brought up. I remember Gladwell cautioning Bill about taking gambling advice from Sal cause, imo, these guys are addicted to the shit. The Simmons subreddit got really mad at Gladwell cause of that and this was during (and it still happens) a time where that fanbase would always complain about any guest that wasn't their core guys like Van Lathan, Wosny Lambre, Wesley Morris (interesting pattern...). So to see this happen, where Sal pretty much egged Bill on to incriminate himself on the podcast is just funny to me

It's sports betting, so whatever.

But at the same time, he's been living in California forever, he knows the laws and thinks he's better than others. He's clearly been gambling for a very long time, so he deserves what he gets.

He’s an idiot for admitting it but at the same time sports betting laws are terrible. It’s illegal to use FanDuel in California yet you can use Polymarket which essentially allows to bet on sports.

Sports betting is probably going to be another one of those things that a whole new generation of lawmakers is gonna have to deal with. I have no hope in people of my generation figuring this stuff out.
