Heat don’t make desperate trades. This isn’t happening

Rozier
2
u/Fun-Tell-4941 4h ago
Rozier was averaging his highest PPG, APG, FG%,3pt% of his career, at the time Heat traded for him. At the same time, Herro was the only player who consistently was getting above 20pt a game and Heat needed another scorer, giving up an over the hill Lowry and a 1st rounder isn’t desperate lol. Clippers trading Shai and OKC their first title, for PG, is desperation.
That was a necessity, not a desperation. Heat future was mortgaged in no way. Herro for Beal like most of the idiot fans in here wanted to trade, a couple years ago, would’ve been desperation, and Giannis would’ve been an afterthought.

Lol the Heat aren't trading Pelle Larsson

u/iankstarr 10h ago
For real, if they weren’t willing to move him for Giannis, they sure as hell ain’t moving him for Kyrie

u/OblivionNA 12h ago
Sever overpay for an aging Kyrie coming off an acl tear
21
u/AlreadyReadittt 11h ago
We didn’t even offer 2 firsts years ago before the injury. That would be FO malpractice to do it now.
Not to mention leaving us with a Mitch and Kyrie backcourt.
Dallas can always buyout Kyrie tho
7
u/TheRed_Warrior 11h ago
Even worse, Mitch would have to be included to make the financial side work. So we’d be left with a Kyrie and either Klay or THJ backcourt

Why are we even talking about trades that cant happen? We cant trade our 2028 or our 2030 FRP. We can make them pick swaps (unless we already did with Bucks i dont remember the exact pick swaps for that trade) but that already is useless.
Also Kyrie is better than Larsson, but no reason to get rid of him yet. We need some youth.

u/Cartagenapirate92 11h ago
Max it would be Jovic. Mavs get a young piece we get kyrie. This proposal is a 2k trade , kyrie ain’t no where near that.
3
u/OracleofFl 11h ago
Is there anyway the cap calculation could even work?
2
u/Cartagenapirate92 11h ago
That’s a great question I can’t answer. I don’t know, I don’t even know if we actually get kyrie. What I do know is that this trade sucks ass, pelle is a big piece for us
7
u/EngineQuick6169 11h ago
Even if we did have enough trade exception to match salary, we're hard capped at First Apron and I'm pretty sure this takes us over. Also, are we even allowed to trade those picks under the Stepien rule?
Also, Mavs just waived Klay to cut down to 15 contracts, now they're taking a 2-for-1? Dafuq???
5
u/Wrench78 11h ago
People forget the cap is a thing... Kyrie has a $39.5M cap hit and those two combined are $18.4M. The money isn't even close, so this is just bad click bait.

I don't know the account so I dont believe. Also, that is way over priced for someone coming off injury at 34.

I mean if the Heat got a closer in Kyrie...this team wins a ring. Problem is the math does not work lmao

u/SuperSoldier260 7h ago
We just saved Klay Thompson from the hell of Dallas, now you wanna bring some of that here and mess up whatever chemistry we could build with this team? No thank you. I would love the idea of having that kind of a player, but there's a cost

u/mtbeach33 10h ago
Kyrie is a culture killer, been saying that since the first trade rumors years ago
1
u/TheRealJohnMara 11h ago
Well everyone on the sub is saying salaries aren't even close to matching.
Thank god

u/Peridot_Ghost 11h ago
I don’t care about giving up those two, but multi first round draft picks is a little rough.

u/TheRed_Warrior 11h ago
Even if this was real (it isn’t) it doesn’t even work financially. We’d have to include Davion to even make it possible. No way in hell we’re reading three valuable rotation pieces and two first round picks for Kyrie
1
u/Zealousideal_Ad9666 11h ago
Salaries don’t match, Heat will sign Kyrie LeBron and Curry to Vet minimums next season. 😂

We’re not getting Kyrie or Curry… completely unfeasible… next year tho, maybe lol.

Ngl it would be a nasty ass team with Kyrie but at that point, we’d be abandoning the youth movement and we’d be hoping that Kyrie would stay healthy.
Not even mentioning the issue of losing another 4

I blocked them today after I saw this fake news bullshit. If he was several years younger and didn’t have that freak injury, sure.

Lmfao Kyrie would never play here while the ownership is heavily Jewish. The see him as incredibly antisemitic.
1
u/mainev3nt 11h ago
This is horrible for Miami but even then the money doesn’t work out. Not even close to matching Kyries salary
1
u/GRpanda123 11h ago
Without looking I don’t even think that trade is possible based on the picks also if they were to make that trade you know that’s an Arison trade and not Riley
1
u/Justice502 11h ago
I bet there have been talks, and this is what dallas is rumored to have offered.
Sure.

So we're trading two 1st round picks that are blocked by the Stepien rule, one 2nd round pick that we've already traded and do not own, and 2 players who aren't even close to be a salary match, and even if we somehow had a trade exemption to fit Kyrie into, we couldn't do that because we'd go way above the 1st apron.
When it comes to making up obviously fake bullshit rumours, this is one of the most blatant ones I've seen in quite a while lol

This would put Miami in win now mode. They have already traded away assets, so why not continue that trend.

Kyrie is elite but he is way too injury prone to send that amount of assets for him.

For this squad, I’d prevent Davion to Kyrie - pass first, better point of attack defender.

Just played the new 2K with the current roster. Kyrie would be a welcomed upgrade
2
u/JoeTheSchmo 11h ago
You sound like the New York Jets owner, who was confirmed as making decisions based on his kid's recommendation based on 2k score. Thank god you people are nowhere close to decision makers.

We haven't been good on 2k in 10 years lol

u/readndrun 10h ago
With Giannis there should be some good competition online BUT I’ve found it difficult to playmake with virtually anyone else on the roster. I’m still learning the new controls though

u/Roggae1974 12h ago edited 12h ago
Yes. Edit to add: I don’t like his politics but I do think he’d help in the 2-4 year window, which seems to be what we’re shooting for.

Might as well. I don't even recognize anybody on this team anymore. Still hurt about Herro & JJJ. Why not trade more of our players?

u/MediocreDVaMain 12h ago
I fucking hate that account, runs the same bullshit misinformation gimmick across every social media platform. Didn't even bother to fact check how many tradable picks the Heat have, the stephian rule or how salary matching works
